3-5 March 2020; applications will be accepted to 22 November 2019

Masterclass description

Are you interested in exploring how digital storytelling can be leveraged in reaching new audiences?  Do you want to understand how technologies like augmented reality and 3D modelling can enhance the user experience?  Do you feel your organisation should be co-developing new exhibitions with (rather than for) the public? Do you want new methods, techniques, and tools to generate ideas, for brainstorming or for collaborative creation? Then this masterclass is for you.

Join us at Maastricht University from 3-5 March 2020 in exploring how the IGNITE curriculum can be used within professional development and lifelong learning. Learn how the curriculum is structured, how you can use it with your peers or organisation, both online and in blended teaching environments. Learn how to adapt the material the IGNITE team has created for your specific organisational, national, or regional situation, as well as opportunities to translate the curriculum into your own language, add new case studies to existing content, and setting up online classes so that you and your peers can collaborate in a private online learning space.

Explore this in the company of heritage professionals from throughout Europe, exchanging best practice on fostering the acquisition of new skills within professional development and lifelong learning environments.

The Masterclass will be limited to c. 15 people. Participants will receive a bursary upon receipt of invoices of up to  €600 for international participants and €250 for those traveling to Maastricht by train or car. Please note that only participants from EU member states can be reimbursed. All meals and coffee breaks, during the Masterclass will be covered by the central budget. Bursaries are only available to individuals living in EU member states.
