Call for Papers – Dariah Annual Event 2023: Cultural Heritage Data as Humanities Research Data?

Dariah-EU invite (digital) humanities researchers, cultural heritage professionals, humanities data stewards and computer, information and data scientists to present their finished or ongoing work related to this year’s theme: Cultural Heritage Data as Humanities Research Data?

To help you shape your submissions we have proposed the following three sub-themes:

a) Sustainable workflows for data management and curation;

b) Imagining experimental data spaces for cultural heritage and

c) Advancing digital methods for the analysis of cultural heritage.

However, submissions of relevance to the overall Annual Event theme are welcome and not limited to these three sub-themes.

All accepted papers will be part of thematic sessions, chaired by a member of the Programme Committee. The DARIAH Annual Event combines different forms of encounter and exchange between DARIAH researchers and the wider cultural heritage, arts and humanities, and computer, information and data science communities.

The call for participation accepts:

  • Papers
  • Panels
  • Posters and Demos

For all contributions, a title and an abstract are to be submitted via the Submission page. Accepted submissions will be published in the Book of Abstracts and on Zenodo.

Submission will be open from Monday 12th December 2022 until 1st February 2023.

Please note that each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the Programme Committee. The use of open peer review will be encouraged during the review process. For the sake of transparency, our peer review guidelines will be published in early 2023.

Notification of acceptance is expected by mid-March 2023.
