Posted by: DIGHUMLAB , August 21, 2018

HisKIS-network seminar on The Spatial Dimension of Digitized Cultural Heritage, 31 Octobre 2018, M/S Museet for Søfart, Helsingør

The ongoing mass digitization of cultural heritage data at museums, archives, and libraries has made a range of comprehensive datasets available to researchers.

The 2018 HisKIS seminar is focused on the possibilities and challenges posed by digitized cultural heritage data in the context of geography and spatial analysis.

In recent years, developments in GIS in particular have paved the way for the inclusion of materials that have previously not been used in the field.

The seminar includes talks about a range of different materials, methodological approaches, as well as the use of digitized cultural heritage data in education and public history.

The seminar will be in Danish.
